Wind and Water- BFF Vibes
Words from me: friend Jessie
Cut the crap. Cut out all the frilly stuff that boosts insecurity. Cut out all the right things to say to make me feel happy. Add a whole lot of laughter, and what’s left is this realness that leaves me so broken, I would be lying to myself if I left her sight unchanged.
This is my friend Bailey. She sheds light on dark places and she gives it to me straight. She is there when I need her most. And what I love about her is that she wants the BEST of me, not the leftovers. She wants my genuine self, not an aftermath of what the world has done to me that day. We have the hard conversations that others are afraid to speak into existence. We have a bond that speaks a better word than our own selfishness. We have each other. I don’t have many in my court that will love me no matter what, but she does. It has been a real strange 6 years with you Bailey, but it has been the biggest breath of fresh air I’ve ever breathed.
I have never laughed HARDER, cried more hysterically, or enjoyed a friends company more than when I am with you. You always think you don’t deserve me, but I don’t deserve you. I don’t sound better singing with ANYONE other than you. You are my sponge, you are water, and I love you.
This is Bailey, my best friend.
Words from Bailey: FRIEND
Hey, I’m Bailey. I’m 23 years old and I’m from Denison, Texas. Here are some fun facts you may not know about me.
I have five older brothers. That’s right! I have two half brothers on my fathers side: Shawn and Aaron. My mom remarried and I won two more brothers: Brett and Austin. And then my brother Kyle and I share the same parents.
I can touch my tongue to my nose.
I just started a phlebotomy class. Soon I’ll be a certified, modern day vampire! Watch out.
I have a cat named Pixie and a dog named Ducky. Can you guess where I got his name?
I LOVE going on adventures in new places. Last year Ducky and I drove to NOLA and camped out in a state park for a few days.
"I knew Jessie from high school, but we didn’t truly get to know each other until I graduated High School and went to our Church’s College age life group. It didn’t take too long for us to start singing outside of those walls. Jessie is a large part of why I know how to sing harmonies! She pushes me to keep going even when I am frustrated. She never once gave up on me.
I’m honored to be the first friend on FRIENDS, with Jessie. I’m more honored to be your friend. You are patient, honest and brilliant, and I thank God countless times over for just having you by my side. You are the wind to my water. I love you Jess!"
Thank you Bailey for taking the time to make a magical moment and creating wonderful memories! We'll see you soon on FRIENDS, with Jessie!
